Sentient Care

Tom Richards has evolved from a corporate executive (BS in electrical engineering, Cornell University; MBA in marketing, University of Chicago; and CPA, University of Illinois) to a professional educator, researcher, consultant and sentient care giver working with health issues and people in altered consciousness. He has studied, researched, and applied Process Work for the past seventeen years and holds a Certificate of Study from the Process Work Institute of Portland, Oregon. Tom uses his awareness abilities to follow people’s processes at their deepest sentient levels, encouraging beauty and eldership to come forward even at seemingly impossible times. He works with individuals experiencing body symptoms, pain, accidents, injuries, surgery, illness, and memory loss, ranging from mild cognitive impairment to Alzheimer’s, other dementias and coma.

Stan Tomandl, MA, PWD, Process Work Diplomate has a passion for all of nature giving him a heart connection with the essence of human cycles, especially the sacredness of those living in altered consciousness. For over 20 years, Stan has specialized in working with people in near death states, memory loss, dementia, traumatic brain injury, and coma, along with everyday life issues. He is an instructor and lifelong learner at the Process Work Institute of Portland, Oregon, author of Coma Work and Palliative Care, and contributing editor to The American Book of Dying. Stan, cofounder of Coma Communication, serves on the faculty of the Sacred Art of Living Center and the board of ComaCARE, South Africa with his wife Ann Jacob. They train, coach, and supervise caregivers, chaplains, family members, volunteers, and educators.
